Home Team Program Diary Results Sponsors Photo's

In january 2007, after lots of telephones and consultation, the team was founded at the van Tienen's. Soon it appeared that 6 fishermen with the same attitude and history had found each other. Not only their attitude was simular, each of them had a history in national (team)sports such as: athletics, korfball and fieldhockey. This experience has proven to be of large value at fishing as a team. That's important, for the teamscore is more important to us than the individual performance.
Nevertheless it's difficult for us to spend so much time in our sport as we want, because we are almost all blessed with young kids. To reach the maximum score we make theirfore sure that our organisation and duty's are perfectly. We even don't fish all events, but we make a selection and prepare ourselves tot a maximum.

A short introduction of the team members:

Arjan Geelhoed (1988)

Our Benjamin of the team is not only succesfull from the shore, but is also an excellent boat-fisher. As young as he is, we can speak af an all-round seafisher. You can find him in the top of many rankings. For example he won in 2010 the Beet Westland-trofee. Also he was selected for the national team that will take part at the WC in Italy in 2011. His refreshing approach is surprising for his fellow teammembers. He is also an expert in bait.

Gilles Traas (1967)

Gilles started competition angling in 2002 and has qualified himself for 4 National Championships and three Topcompetitions since then.
He is chairman of “de Eurovissers”.
In several local Dutch competitions Gilles was first in his section and together with ex-team member Erik Remijn he won the match “Night of ‘s Gravenzande” in 2006. He always catches fish.

John Duynisveld (1960)

John is since 2012 member of the team. After a long succesfull carreer at the northern Dutch beaches he slowed down his carreer. We now know him as a member of the organisation of the GP Terheijde and the P&S Avicentra trofee. At this time he starts his second youth and is eager tot get results on the other Dutch beaches. He has literally the eye of a carpenter and therefore we ar now more able to analyze our rigs and hot spots to fish.

Martin van der Drift (1965)

Member of the National selection 2008.
Martin has already won several main competitions and placed himself 7 times for the Dutch National championsship.
Most of the time you will find him in the top list of a competition.
Martin is the financial man of the team, organizes our participation at matches and is our representative for our sponsors. He also plays an important role when things have to be put into perspective for his sometimes over-enthousiastic team members.

Rob Punselie (1963)

Member of the National selection 2009, 2010 and 2011.
Rob has also fished multiple Dutch championships and almost made it first place. He also fished many main competitions.
After many year of coarse(competition) fishing het turned to saltwater.
In fact Rob wanted to stop competition fishing in 2006, but found a new challenge in joining this team.
With his great knowledge and experience he is also often found in the top of the rankings. Captain of the team.

Edwin van Tienen (1987)

Edwin has been the youngest of the bunch for a long time.
He was team member at the World Championship shore fishing 2007 in Brazil, 4th place team member in the World Championship Juniors 2006 in Portugal and Silver medal winner with this team. Bronze medal winner with the same team in Spain in 2008.
Twice he was National Champion juniors, 1x A-selection and 1x B-selection, twice won a silver medal in the B-selection.
Het had great results for the team because he was used winning his section. However, regretfully he had to spend a lot of time on his work and family in 2012 and will seldom be on the shore with us.

Arthur van Tienen (1958)

Arthur has a lot of international experience in the North- and West of Europe, shore aswell as boatfishing. As soon as the team was founded, he became our coach and steady stand-in.
Because of his age he was the “grandfather” of the team and graciously hands over his knowledge to the younger team members. At the end of 2011 he left the team. On several pages on this site, you wil find the remains of his positive influence on the team.

Erik Remijn (1966)

Erik became in 2006 Dutch champion shorefishing. He was member of our team until 2010. Erik was responsible too for the succes of our team in the first 4 years of our existence. On this site you find in the reports and photo's parts of his heroïc actions.
